Bennett Woodland Farms, LLC (aka, “BWF”) Washington operation opened its doors in May of 1997 by owners Ralph and Colleen Bennett. The farms are based strongly around their mission statement which includes: To be the best breeding station in the industry by providing quality services, facilities, equipment and performance that distinguish BWF from all other breeding operations. It is Ralph, Colleen and all others associated with the farms who strives every day to make this mission statement a reality.

The activities of the farms include four major divisions; (1) the Equine Breeding Clinic, (2) Mare Care Operation, (3) Ralph and Colleen’s Quarter Horse breeding program, and (4) the Training/Boarding Operation. The Equine Breeding Clinic offers a wide range of breeding services to all breeds of horses. Over the past several years the breeding operation has had the opportunity to work with many breeds, such as; Quarter Horses, Paints, Arabians, Appaloosas, Morgans, Draft Horses, Thoroughbreds, Warm Bloods, Paso Finos, Peruvian Pasos, Haflingers, and even Ponies.

During 2007 the Mare Care operation became a major focus for the Farms as its Kentucky 70 acre facility was opened, which provides outstanding care for mares for the Kentucky Breeding Incentive Fund program.

Quarter Horses have been a love and passion for Colleen. She and Ralph have been developing a very high quality broodmare herd, and then breeding these mares to some of today’s top stallions, resulting in some incredible foals. During 2007 they sent some of their broodmares to Kentucky to take advantage of the recent Kentucky AQHA and APHA Breeders Incentive Fund Programs.

In 2006 the Training/Boarding Operation was added at BWF. This operation is centered around an outside equine training company, DeKubber-Webb Show Horses, that has established its operation at BWF, which then charges the clients of DeKubber-Webb for boarding their horses in the barn. There are also a few other horses boarded in the barns and in the pastures.

Part of the magic of Bennett Woodland Farms is its majestic setting in Washington state. Located in the Mt. Baker foothills about 22 miles East of I-5 on Hwy. 542 (also known as Mt Baker Hwy). The farm encompass some 220+ acres set in a valley along the north-west side of the Nooksack River with about 120 acres of rolling green pastures, the 50-stall main barn, 24-stall mare motel, covered round pen, multiple paddocks and a large outside riding arena.
