Our 70 ft by 200 ft indoor arena has a new dust control system!
The system consists of 3/4" water lines overhead and uses a Raintree controller
and solenoids to wet down each of the 3 zones. The sprinklers are spaced at every truss (12 ft),
there are 15 heads in each line or zone. Each head comprises a weight, check valve and spin sprinkler
which covers greater than a 20 ft area. Three zones cover the arena with lots of overlap.
We installed a similar dust control in our covered roundpen.

In July we lost a huge old shade tree in one of our pastures which will be sorely missed by the horses!
It died from an unknown cause and had to be cut down.
Our
grandson, Zachary Andrews, age 4 1/2 looks very tiny on the stump.
Congratulations to Athena (Miss Arizona Pine's get) and Madi (Docs Arizona Pine's get) with Nicole Sparrow at the Pinto World Show in June, 2010:
Just received via Blackberry, Athena and Nicole were Reserve World Champions Open Mares all ages Western Pleasure, and Madi was 9th overall. Athena with Teresa Sullivan riding was 1st under all judges in the NSBA Sr. Western Pleasure. Meanwhile Madi was 4th Amateur Western Pleasure, 5th Amateur Showmanship, 3rd Jr. Mares Western Pleasure, and 3rd Stock Type Mares 3-5 yrs. Western Pleasure.

Congratulations to another of Sierra's get, N Suspension (Harley), on his current accomplishments at showing.
At the Sun & Surf he finished 3rd in the Novice All-Around, points in the Senior WP and just received his Performance ROM. At the Del Mar Nationals he won two perpetual trophies for the WP Amateur, Circuit Champion in WP and HMS and res all around. He is doing well in Trail and currently is 3rd in the state for horsemanship, and is top ten in the state in four events. The photos below are from the Sun & Surf show.

How many of you remember Seattle Sasparilla (Suzie)?
In 1997 Suzie competed for Bennett Woodland Farms at the AQHA World Show in Oklahoma City in Senior Western Pleasure, and that year she was top 5 nationally in both Western Pleasure and Hunter Under Saddle. She is now 21 and still showing and winning. She is now owned by Cindy Valentine of Nashville, Tennessee and shown by her daughter, Bethany, in youth. We were told that just recently they placed first in most classes, and they even beat a horse that was in the top 5 at Congress. A very well done to the pair!
